As of 12:58 PM on February 13, 2022, the cumulative box office sales of Nice View exceeded one billion yuan after only 13 days of being on screen. This movie, which received extremely high box office sales and an entirely great reputation, focuses on the story of a group of Chinese youth who support and help each other on the road of entrepreneurship, while earning miraculous lives together (Wei & Guo, 2022). As a miniature of Chinese society, the movie presents the audience with the boom of starting up businesses in China, as well as China’s young entrepreneurs’ endeavor to earn a more prosperous future. In the new era, despite that some business leaders are not as active in the business world as before, China’s young entrepreneurs, who are well-equipped with correct values and who possess great adaptability to new trends, have become a strong force in accomplishing the glorious mission of China’s great rejuvenation.

First, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, young Chinese entrepreneurs shoulder great social responsibilities. Chinese Young Entrepreneurs' Association advocates for its members to take the lead in honesty, law-abiding, and paying back to society. Their action speaks louder than words. Instead of staying in the metropolitan after graduating from Donghua University, a top University in Shanghai, Qian Weixin built a green honey base in Xishuangbanna. With an annual output value of 2 billion yuan, his company has helped people in his hometown realize the goal of alleviating poverty through working hard. In addition, when Covid-19 was wreaking havoc in Wuhan, young Chinese entrepreneurs had donated more than 500 million yuan in just a month after the pandemic broke out (Wu, 2020). It can be seen that young Chinese entrepreneurs who started new businesses shoulder great social responsibility. They stick to core socialist values and combine their own cause with social needs and national development.

Second, with great adaptability, young Chinese entrepreneurs take advantage of the technology, thus letting their companies stand at the forefront of the times. To begin with, thanks to the dedication made by intelligent and diligent young Chinese entrepreneurs, critical breakthroughs in science and technology are realized, thus improving Chinese enterprises’ core competence. In 2020, there were 145 newly listed enterprises on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, and their market value increased from 0.87 trillion yuan at the end of 2019 to 3.7 trillion yuan at the end of 2020, adding to the vigor of the Chinese market (“Overview of the...”, 2021). Also, young Chinese entrepreneurs utilize Internet platforms to boost the online market. When numerous audience members are soaking in the sheer natural beauty presented by Li Ziqi, this young Chinese vlogger is making the most of the popularity of her videos to build her brand on Internet platforms. In this innovative way, her online shop gains sales of more than 100 million yuan per month. Countless young Chinese entrepreneurs like Li keep up with the trend, making China’s e-commerce sales almost double those in the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and South Korea combined. From the discussion above, young Chinese entrepreneurs are transforming the Chinese economy from the phase of rapid growth to a stage of high-quality development.

Opponents of this idea may consider that some Chinese entrepreneurs in this

generation are lying flat in recent years, choosing to go out of the public eye. While it

is true that some entrepreneurs have left office, they are contributing to their companies as well as the whole society in a more conducive way instead of shirking

their social responsibility. Zhang Yiming, the founder of a well-known Internet company ByteDance, and Huang Zheng, the founder of an e-commerce giant Pinduoduo, both clearly explained in their letter of resignation that they hope to get out of the heavy administrative tasks and focus on self-improvement, so as to empower enterprises and society with a broader and higher world view. Compared with business leaders with traditional management patterns from the last generation, Chinese entrepreneurs in the new era are breaking the existing business template and the fixed management frame with a more open and confident attitude. In a word, the so-called lying flat is actually a kind of Chinese young entrepreneurs’ wisdom, which grants them to be well-founded and make more contributions to  China’s great rejuvenation.

“Backed by policy incentives of the Party and the state, young people take the lead in innovation, starting businesses, striving for excellence, serving the country and the people with their ingenuity and expertise in economic, social, technological, and cultural fields.”(“China Youth Entrepreneurship...”, 2020) Though the founders of some competitive companies have left their posts, there are countless young Chinese entrepreneurs trying hard to make China a better country, with whom the great rejuvenation of China can be expected to be realized in the near future.
